Merrymeeting Food Council is excited to bring lake trout from the Sebago Lake Anglers Association's 5th annual lake trout derby to our communities, 9/11 - 9/12!

Fish will be donated directly to community members and will be prepared alongside gleaned local produce for a whole fish cooking class in collaboration with Maine SNAP-Ed, Curtis Memorial Library, and the Merrymeeting Gleaners (now a program of) Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.

There is still room! Learn to make a local Sunday meal in your own kitchen with fresh and free ingredients. Come to the library to pick up fresh fish & local produce between 1-4 pm on Sunday 9/12, then join us on Zoom at 5 pm to learn how to prepare your feast of local bounty.
